Brian Schilling

Director of Coaching - 09G Head Coach, Coach on HS Boys 08-05

Experience: I have 13-years of experience coaching with North Clackamas Soccer Club and Thelo United, both with boys and girls.  I currently coach the 09 Girls and the HS Boys.  I focus on fundamentals and culture, as my hope is that with Thelo United we have a competitive environment, that is also focused on family and community.  Within each team, we create a positive peer culture, in which our players are focused on building each other up and working together for both individual and team success.

Dina Ruehle

My own experiences as a youth player in competitive soccer drive me to help my players develop soccer skills and tactical awareness, create camaraderie with their teammates, engage in the character building that comes with competitive experiences, with an overall goal of helping them maintain and further develop their love for the game. I bring experience and training as a high school teacher to my coaching, and continue to engage in the sport as a player with my former high school and club teammates on a futsal team. 

Experience:  I've coached boys and girls with Gladstone Soccer Association at the rec level since 2019 (4v4 and 7v7).  I continue to coach a recreational team with GSA in addition to coaching the 2013 boys with Thelo.

Matt Miller

I coach from a desire to help children grow into adults who can work effectively with others, solve problems, and persevere through challenges. Winning games are just one result of the lessons learned during practice. Soccer provides an avenue to increase self-esteem, create healthy habits, and exercise our brains as well as our bodies. 

Experience:I started coaching youth sports when I was a sophomore in high school, and have experience coaching youth baseball and basketball, in addition to soccer.

As a coach, I believe in teaching fundamentals and building the right habits, while creating a safe environment for exploration and mistakes.  I also believe my job is to build character and help players develop lifelong skills. My hope is that my players love the game as much as I do and enjoy being part of a team, in which they can achieve more when they work together as a team.

Experience: One of Thelo United's coaches.  Connor brings to Thelo playing through his youth.  Connor has been a certified referee for 8 years.  His served as an assistant coach for various rec teams and competitive club teams for the past 4 years.

Experience: Currently in his 20th year of coaching.  19 years at the rec level and spending the last 3 years with the Thelo.  Scott also serves as the Director of Coaching for the Gladstone Soccer Association.
